The facilities are of a good standard especially the sanitary facilities. There is a good size shop. The on site lake and nature facilities are very pleasant.
Although the site is open to 3rd September the restaurant menu was already limited by 27th August with a number of items unavailable.

The Pitch was large and flat and conveniently served by electricity and water.

The lake is fantastic. All of the staff we met were friendly and helpful.
Pot holes in the camping roads. Cobwebs in the main toilets. I would expect a 5 star site to take care of these details.

Would be good to have a shower screen/curtain to stop the shower getting the whole area wet.

The pools and the space was great - it’s a big campsite but it was nice to have the space to walk around away from the tents ( in the woods and on the lake) having a shed for all the extra utilities on the pitch was great and the free laser quest game was great fun
I found some staff Reception staff were vague and sometime actively unhelpful with enquiries about activities and also when complaints were raised. It didn’t always feel like a four star campsite when there was no hot water or loo paper by 10pm at night. The entertainments were very noisy until at least 11, could have turned the volume down for 10.30pm onwards.
Accommodation review
The main pool and flumes are great - our kids adored it and would happily spend all day there. The location on the lake is lovely as we’re the forest pitches we liked having the extra amenities of the fridge etc and the sanitary blocks were clean and tidy most of the time.
There was a lack of hot water in the toilet blocks and problems with our fridge on arrival . On a four star campsite I would expect problems with no hot water in the showers and washing up areas in the evenings. Toilets often ran out of toilet paper by 11pm. Sorting waste is fine but not if there are no recycling points in the main site and you have to go all the way to the end of the campsite to recycle. No drain points under the water taps - so it got quite boggy near the taps Our pitch didn’t have much shade and faced the back of the toilet block - needed much more planting

We stayed here previously, the site has gone down hill.
Poor welcome on site, not enough staff at main bar, pitches and paths poorly maintained. Cold water for dishes and evening showers. Bit expensive for €100 per night.

Shop was well stocked, walks were signposted and shop was well stocked. We enjoyed some of the entertainment at the bar.
Pitch was not as advertised. Staff were rude and dismissive. Parc not as well maintained as we had expected for a 5 star castles site. We visited this parc 6 years ago this was not the same site, run down and not maintained. Glass panels smashed around the pool, shower blocks cold and dirty, pitches overgrown, weeds on flower beds. The staff at the bar on particular were very rude to our teenage children on more than one occasion. Overall a very disappointing stay, we will not be returning.

Reasonably flat and sunny.
Pitch was small and overgrown not as advertised. We had to swap pitches as we couldn’t fit our caravan and awning on it, we found the pitches to very unfairly sized across the site and not as advertised, not fair when you are paying the same price, we were placed in front of staff accommodation, staff in the accommodation were rude and shouted at more than one occasion as the dog was barking at another dog who was leashed at one of your site chalets for long periods of times on his own. There was also a strong smell of cannabis , loud music and shouting on several occasions late at night

Pool and facilities were great. Evening entertainment was fun and the refurbed toilets/showers were nice. Would definitely come to stay again.
The lifeguards in the pool don’t really lifeguard so you need to treat the pool as not lifeguarded. The bins were overflowing at the bin storage area.
