Castellane (altitude 720m) is situated in Haute-Provence, at the crossroads of the magnificent Gorges du Verdon (Parc Naturel Régional du Verdon) and the Route Napoléon. It is a calm tourist centre and enjoying the benefits of the Provençal climate. Camping Notre-Dame is bordered by a small stream and is only 600 m from the village. The site is flat and well shaded, having a quiet family atmosphere, providing free hot showers (24 hours a day), small shop and a variety of mobile-homes to rent. ... Castellane itself offers many shops and a supermarket, a large heated swimming-pool, tennis courts, rafting, kayaking, canyonning and fishing in the Verdon river. At the lake of Castillon, a mere 5kms up a splendid hill, one can sail, windsurf and swim. In addition, there is hiking, horse riding, mountain biking and climbing in the Gorges du Verdon. For the experts, there is cave exploring and geological sites (Réserve Géologique de Haute-Provence). Camping Notre-Dame is open April / October

Nous avons aimé l'accueil très sympathique et les conseils pour découvrir la région, le cadre verdoyant et le calme du camping, son emplacement et ses commodités la sécurité du parking pour nos motos, la propreté du mobil-home et son confort.

Notre mobil-home était neuf, très bien conçu, bien équipé avec une literie confortable. Nous étions près du ruisseau qui nous amenait de la fraicheur et à l'ombre très agréable des arbres.

Le terrain est beau , le camping est calme. Le bloc sanitaire est propre. La ville de Castellane est très proche, 10 minuten à pied
Il y a veaucoup de cirrculation sur la route à côté du camping. Les installaties sanitaires sont très simples peut-être trop simples. Il manque du savon pour se laver les mains après le wc

Court séjour effectué lors du pont du 15 aout. Accueil très sympa et décontracté de la part des propriétaires, nous on a bien aimé ! Une fois les formalités d'enregistrement terminées, toutes les bonnes info pour passer une bon séjour nous sont données (balades à faire, circuit des gorges, bons restaurants et informations à connaitre sur les activités de la ville de Castellane). Sans aucun doute on est dans un camping sympa loin des grands complexes bruyants et sans âme. Endroit Bref, endroit idéal pour se reposer et être au calme !

Mobil Home récent et très propre, équipé d'une terrasse couverte ce qui est un plus en cas de pluie. Rien ne manque !
