General information
The site is beautiful, tranquil and is very well situated to see the historic sites of the area. We visited with my sister and her husband who know the area well. We emigrated to Canada and have always wanted to explore the D Day landing beaches. We weren’t disappointed. The site and surroundings were better than we anticipated. Now we know why our relatives have been visiting for many years.
The Snack Bar is a misnomer, it would be more accurately described as a Bistro, and should be renamed. The food was excellent.
Accommodation review
Comfortable, spacious for 2 people. All amenities provided and spotlessly clean.
Teacups should be bigger!
Establishment response :
Dear Guests, Thank you for your kind words about our site and surrounding area. We are glad to hear that you had a wonderful experience exploring the historic sites and that our location exceeded your expectations. We appreciate your feedback about our Snack Bar about the quality food we offer, unfortunately Laurent is not a Chef so we cannot name it Bistro. We hope you visit us again soon! Best regards. Delphine & Laurent

Site was immaculate and excellent welcome from Delphine.
Accommodation review
I got the exact pitch I asked for and had beautiful views across open fields. Woken very gently by the bleating of sheep and other than the odd rain flurry had peaceful silence on the campsite. The facilities were excellent with unquestionable cleanliness and the whole site looked very well presentd
Establishment response :
Dear Mrs Bainbridge, Thank you for your very good comments. We really hope to see you again. Best regards Delphine & Laurent

Excellent location for visiting WWII cemeteries and museums. Some amenities were not available due to time of year but we knew before we visited. Reception (especially Delphine) were very helpful and the bathrooms were spotless.
Accommodation review
Level pitch with hedges. We were pitch 1 close to the amenities. Tap on pitch - 1 inch connector. We only had 3/4 inch but could borrow from reception. Despite the very wet weather the pitch was draining well.

Period of stay : From 27/09/2023 to 29/09/2023
General information
No problems booking online as our last stop prior to catching a ferry from Cherbourg. A relatively small campsite, family owned and operated. A warm welcome on arrival, brief explanation re. facility locations etc. Pitch well defined by hedgerows with ample space for awnings etc. Good to see the heated swimming pool open despite it being later in the season.
Non-Availability of croissants/baguettes disappointing - apparently due to demand dropping off as the autumn season approaches.
Accommodation review
Availability of fishing on sight an extra bonus, and attraction, for some campers.
An open aspect washing up area does have it’s disadvantages in rainy weather.
Establishment response :
Dear Sir, Thank you for your stay and your comments. We also have washing up sinks in the 2 inside toilet blocks at the entrance: one in the men toilets and another in the women ones. so no problem in case of rain. We are sorry that you didn't be able to have breads in the morning but our bakker do not do delivery for 1 baguette. We will certainly inform for next year that the bakery service will be only possible from 15/4 to 15/9. Best regards. Delphine & Laurent

Could benefit from a low level waste water disposal point instead of using chemical toilet point
Establishment response :
Dear Madam, Dear Sir, Thank you for your stay. It is true that for the moment our guests have to use the chemical toilet point to empty the waste water (the septic tank connected is for all water). As we informed on our website we have 2 chemical toilet points. But it is planned to find another solution in the next future. Best regards. Delphine & Laurent
